Illegal additions and alterations

In Tauhara (Taupo) today I had the job of knocking down an extension that was built without consent and not up to code.

As a building inspector and a builder myself it no longer shocks me to see these kind of things but I still do feel for the people that pay (usually a handyman) to do this kind of work only to have to pay someone else down the track to fix it.

Just remember the cheapest quote is not always the best option.....
